Gargoyle Ladder Series
The Gargoyle Ladder Series is a modular system that enables workers to move from one level to another with guardrails on the upper elevation to help prevent a fall to the lower level. Upgrade your system to safely scale parapet walls and other changes of elevation on your rooftop with this fall protection system. Our Gargoyle Ladder Series and Fixed Access Ladders are an upgrade to your facility that improves the accessibility of your rooftop for workers to support maintenance and increase productivity.
These rooftop safety systems come engineered on a single pallet; elements of the system are pre-assembled with simple to follow instructions and a singular tool for installation. This freestanding, portable, modular system is constructed with corrosion resistant lightweight aluminum tubing and utilizes counterweighted baseplates. With no rooftop penetration, your roof will remain intact and you will not have to worry about any unexpected leaks.
What To Expect From OSHA
- When there is a break in elevation of 19 inches (48 cm) or more and no ramp, runway, embankment or personnel hoist is available, employers must provide a stairway or ladder at all worker points of access.
- When there is only one point of access between levels, employers must keep it clear of obstacles to permit free passage by workers. If free passage becomes restricted, employers must provide a second point of access and ensure that workers use it.
- When there are more than two points of access between levels, employers must ensure that at least one point of access remains clear.
- In addition, employers must install all stairway and ladder fall protection systems required by these rules and ensure that their worksite meets all requirements of the stairway and ladder rules before employees use stairways or ladders. See 29 CFR 1926.1050-1060 for the details of the standard.
