SOLUTION
A custom-engineered ballasted stair and crossover stair system was supplied to deliver safe rooftop access and fall protection in accordance with OSHA and ANSI standards.
Recently, Factory Supply was contacted by a manufacturing facility client who had no proper walkway for maintenance. With multiple roof elevations lacking safe transitions and conduit impeding the maintenance walk path, the roof was not compliant with rooftop safety regulations and was putting workers at risk.
A custom ballasted stair and crossover stair were installed for safe access and fall protection, meeting OSHA and ANSI standards. The modular, lightweight system protects the roof membrane and installs quickly without welding, saving time and costs.
After analyzing the application and taking the necessary measurements, our team engineered and supplied a ballasted system consisting of a stair and a crossover stair. Installed by one of our trusted installers, this custom system utilizes galvanized steel as well as anodized aluminum with counterweighted base plates to protect the roof membrane, and is fully compliant with OSHA and ANSI standards.
