Roof Hatch Guardrail systems are engineered to provide reliable fall protection around rooftop hatch openings and ensure full compliance with OSHA fall protection regulations. According to OSHA, any rooftop opening that a worker could fall through must have proper fall protection. Since most hatch covers are considered non-structural and may not support the weight of a worker, OSHA recommends assuming that additional guardrail protection is necessary.
The Roof Hatch Guardrail system is a freestanding, modular safety solution designed to integrate seamlessly with almost any roof hatch or rooftop opening. Constructed from lightweight, corrosion-resistant aluminum tubing, it features counterweighted baseplates that eliminate the need for rooftop penetration, helping to prevent leaks and maintaining roof integrity.
This system is designed for fast, hassle-free installation. Most components are pre-assembled, fit on a single pallet, and can be installed using a single tool with easy-to-follow instructions. Each Roof Hatch Guardrail system is equipped with a spring-loaded, self-closing safety gate, ensuring the opening remains protected at all times. Additionally, it can be equipped with an optional grab bar, which helps prevent slips and falls, enhancing safety and promoting OSHA-compliant recommendations for access.
