BOEING 757 AIRCRAFT WING STAND

Providing safe access to hard-to-reach aircraft maintenance points for a large aircraft MRO facility in Mobile, Alabama.

OVERVIEW

In the aviation sector, safety is crucial, which is why it is critical to maintain an aircraft on a regular basis while also assuring the safety of the maintenance staff. This set of wing stands was created for a large aircraft MRO facility in Mobile, Alabama. The customer approached our team in search of the best equipment to support the maintenance of their Boeing 757 aircraft, which was being converted from passenger to freight service.
Our team created four sets of these stands specifically for the Pensacola International Airport. These stands combined five modular parts and two mobile access ladders that were all pinned together to create one multi-faceted maintenance platform. The lightweight but extremely robust aluminum construction supported numerous technicians, their tools, and the necessary aircraft parts. The stands were painted for easy visibility and given a grit treatment to provide slip resistance. To keep the stand steady and level, each segment contained four stabilizing jacks that functioned in pairs. Each stand was made of lightweight, long-lasting materials and could be manoeuvred by two people. The stands were delivered on five flatbed trucks and were constructed by two Factory Supply team members after being designed, engineered, and fabricated by our in-house teams.
