When Stainless Steel Is The Right Choice

When Stainless Steel Is The Right Choice For Ladders & Platforms

Choosing the wrong metal for your ladder or work platform could result in you losing money and time. If you’re on the fence about whether to select stainless steel or not, here are a few environments where stainless steel should be used.

  1. When appearance matters

When manufactured into a ladder, stainless steel has a much nicer finish than both regular steel and aluminum.  So go for stainless steel if it’s going to be seen by clients or you don’t have plans to powder coat your ladder.

  1. When it will be exposed to water frequently

Stainless steel contains a minimum of 11% chromium making it resistant to rust. Aluminum is also corrosion
resistant but if strength or weight capacity is a concern, stainless steel is your better option.

  1. When working with food

Food manufacturing has pretty strict regulations on the equipment that you use. Stainless steel is easy to clean, handles well in hot heat and can be sterilized frequently without deterioration.

If your job or project meets any of these categories, we highly recommended that you opt for stainless steel.  In addition to being the best fit for these applications, stainless steel ladders and platforms are 100% recyclable and have a longer life cycle than other metals.
